Believe it or not, it’s that time of week again! For this Nintendo Download, we have four featured games to look at, including platforming, rhythm, battle royale, and basketball. So let’s just jump right into it.

Featured Games

Let’s start with the weirdest one first, Spinch, which is currently slightly discounted at $13.39. This psychedelic platformer sees you assume your true form as Spinch, an odd, super agile creature. You are embroiled in a quest to rescue your offspring, which have gone missing. They were kidnapped by a huge invasion of misshapen oddities! Be forewarned, as this game brings back old school difficulty to test your timing and reflexes as you dash, jump, climb, swim, and even shoot your own babies? You’ll also face strange bosses in six vibrantly colorful worlds.

We also have the free-to-play Spellbreak, where you’ll become a battle mage, choose a class, and customize it with talents as your power grows. Form a formidable party of mages to destroy other players who would stand against you in Primdal, a part of the Hollow Lands. Future updates will be adding more game modes and content as well. Next we jump into some rhythm action, with AVICII Invector ($19.99). Play competitively with a group or go it solo. Each music track is designed to match the visuals on your screen. They include 25 of AVICII’s greatest hits. The game was created in collaboration with the late superstar, who committed suicide. On a lighter note, the last featured game this week is NBA 2K21 ($59.99). If you want some basketball action on your Switch, well here it is. It has numerous game modes, and community and competitive online features.

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
