While last week’s Nintendo Download was a bit light on content, I can’t say the same about this week. We have 4 featured titles, upcoming Smash Ultimate DLC, the usual sales and a bunch of digital titles. But before we go there, let’s touch on a remade classic, a casual cafe, an artsy puzzle and an exciting port.
First things first. Pokémon Café Mix was last revealed during the recent presentation, and while I don’t normally gravitate towards these sorts of games, it looks charming and is absolutely free. Next up, a real classic is getting a HD coat of paint in Mr. DRILLER DrillLand. If that’s not enough, you can experience an emotional puzzle game called The Almost Gone. And last but certainly not least, the Nintendo Switch is getting The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III. I’m actually really happy about that, since I demoed the game a while back and thought it really diverting. And since I own the first two games on my Vita, now I have even more incentive to get into the well regarded series. Next, a reminder about what’s coming to Smash Bros. Ultimate next week!
Min Min From ARMS Joins the Fight in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – From her humble beginnings as a ramen-loving employee at the Mintendo Noodle House, Min Min has grown into a champion fighter. On June 29, she enters the battle as the newest playable character in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game. Min Min’s extraordinary reach and versatile tools enable her to unleash a new range of fighting strategies in the game. The purchase of Min Min’s Challenger Pack* for $5.99 also includes the Spring Stadium stage and 18 newly added music tracks from the ARMS game. Fighters Pass Vol. 2*, which includes Min Min and five more Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighters currently under development, is also available for purchase for $29.99.

Though this is a bit unusual, there’s only one digital title for next week. It’s called the StoryTale, and it’s a platformer set in a fairytale with cool pixel art. The following digital games are all out for this week’s Nintendo Download.
Retro fans can try the following – Arcade Archives VS. BASEBALL, PLOID SAGA, STAR WARS Episode 1 Racer, Tcheco in the Castle of Lucio and Ultracore. For some visual novels, try A Summer with the Shiba Inu and Collar X Malice. For something utterly strange, try Pachi Pachi On a Roll. Puzzle fans might enjoy Poopdie – Chapter One, Quell Zen, Unitied and Yes, Your Grace. If you like exhilarating battles, try Towaga: Among Shadows. And finally, fans of tactical mayhem and RPGs have these to check out – Brigandine the Legend of Runersia, Grimshade, Miden Tower, and Tower of Time.
A pretty eventful Nintendo Download, in my humble opinion. Thanks as usual for joining us here at oprainfall for your weekly dose of Nintendo fun, and be sure to check back next week!
