When I decided to take a look at Funbag Fantasy: Sideboob Story 2 I didn’t realize it takes place 5 years after the first Sideboob story leaves off. I hadn’t had a chance to read the first story before jumping into this, and I was worried I would have trouble following the story. Thankfully this story seems to catch you up on everything quickly, so I was able to jump into this with little issue. Let’s see if I enjoyed this story as much as did Funbag Fantasy 2, which is actually a prequel to this.

The story here begins as you are being hauled to prison. The reason you are going to prison is that you were talking to a woman while being unaware you were buck naked. The protagonist has no idea who he is or where he is from. The only thing you do know is that you have mask on your face that will not come off and no memories. The prison is located on Zorro Island where he is promptly thrown into a cell with a bunch of Mermen pirates. They try to assault him in the night but he fends them off while sleeping. This man is either incredibly lucky or skilled! He would not enjoy a comfy stay in jail however, as he soon witnesses the smuggling activities going on around the island. He is sent on a suicide mission to Boobshire to kill a Minotaur. Can Mask overcome this challenge where many others have failed? Is he the most skilled fighter ever? Or the luckiest klutz ever? Time will tell!

This is how the story of Funbag Fantasy: Sideboob Story 2 opens. There are lots of PLOT twists along the way with many political plots and plenty of glorious H-scenes. While the game has its serious moments it doesn’t take itself too seriously and this works out great. Watching the protagonist get out of one mess after another in the most ludicrous ways you could think of was very enjoyable and made me laugh out loud a lot. I was very impressed with the amount of depth this game has while not making the story too complicated or serious. It ends up making it a deep enough story to enjoy while still being fun with great Eroge.

We cannot talk about the story of Funbag Fantasy: Sideboob Story 2 without discussing the wonderful ladies of this world. First up, let’s talk about Rosalyn, who is The princess of the Kingdom of Hillsland. She falls for Mask rather quickly as he is a smooth talker and he always seems to get the best outta any situation he is placed in. Since her father had no sons, the man that marries her will be heir to Hillsland’s throne. This makes political rivals suspicious of Mask as the pair grow closer. Next up we have Serebria, who is the queen consort from the Kingdom of Iberia. She is a pure-blooded Nymph which means her sexual desires are off the charts. She is also a very talented swordswoman that leads their armies into battle. Her first meeting with Mask is interesting, to say the least! The last girl I would like to discuss is my favorite, Shamsiel. She is a succubus that used to prey on soldiers until she met and married King Lute I. She has been searching for him since his disappearance since he was very much in support of the rights for the creatures in the kingdoms. Even changing the laws so she could become his wife. She loves Lute with all her heart and would do anything to support his needs, even titjobs which she loves to give.

The top notch story is only made greater by the fantastic artwork this series is known for. If you’ve played any of the previous games or seen any artwork from them you will feel right at home here. The character sprites look fantastic. I love all the different facial expressions they gave the girls. It really brings out each one’s personality. When you complete the game you can view all of them in a handy viewer. The CGs in the H-Scenes are all top notch here as well. There’s nothing too extreme, but I hope you like huge boobs cause you will find tons of them in each scene. The backgrounds are all pretty standard but they set up each scene fairly well and give a proper atmosphere for what is happening in the story.

The music here is a pretty standard fantasy affair. I really cannot think of any tracks that really stand out, but none of them are bad either. Each one fits the scenes pretty well and adds to the overall presentation of the game. The voice actors do a fantastic job. They really brought all of these characters to life. The H-Scenes is where they really put some effort in. If you’re playing anywhere where folks might hear and you don’t want them to, I’d recommend some headphones.

While the story isn’t super serious don’t think Funbag Fantasy: Sideboob Story 2 is just a bunch of boob jokes with no substance. The story here is very fleshed out and all of the characters are very interesting. This made me want to go back and play the other games I missed out on just to see how this all started. There aren’t many choices to make in the game, but one will determine which ending you get. You should probably save at that point since this is a 40 hour Visual Novel in total. If you are a fan of the Funbag Fantasy franchise you should probably jump on this one ASAP. It’s well worth the $44.95 price tag. If you’ve not started the series yet, I would suggest you pick up Funbag Fantasy and the first Sideboob story before diving into the PLOT here.
