NIS America is getting its groove on with Mad Rat Dead, an upcoming rhythm game with a lot of character.
Directed by Yu Mizokami (Yomawari: Night Alone and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows), this game features the titular Mad Rat, who has been granted one more chance at life to fulfill his dream. Combining platformer action and rhythm mechanics, players must keep Mad Rat’s heart pumping in time with the music and clear stages within a time limit, or his chances are over. The game’s funky visuals and addictive soundtracks, along with the ability to rewind, also provide unique play experiences.

Mad Rat Dead will release on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on Oct. 30, 2020, in North America and Europe, and Nov. 6, 2020, in Oceania. The game is available for pre-order on NIS America’s site here. The Mad Rat Dead Heart Pounding Edition includes the game, a physical Dead Beats cassette, Dead Beats digital soundtrack download, Mad Masterpieces digital art book, and a collector’s box.
