Oddworld Inhabitants has teamed up with French game publisher, Microids, to announce the very soon launch of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee for the Nintendo Switch. The press release states that the game is set to launch for the Switch on May 14th. This classic game first appeared on the original Xbox in 2001, and has released on a number of platforms since then. Now it sets its eyes on the Switch. You can pre-order the game now on the Nintendo Switch e-shop. Those who do will get a $10 discount from the game’s normal price of $29.99. Here is the Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee Switch trailer:

In Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, players take on the role of a Gabbit known as Munch. Unfortunately, things are not so good for Munch. A ton of consumer products come from the Gabbit species, and so they have been hunted and exploited terribly! Munch must help trapped test subjects in a cold, corporate testing facility known as Vykkers Labs. Helping the test creatures will in turn gain loyalty for Munch, and they will then help him escape.

Upon making his escape, Munch can team up with Abe, the protagonist of previous games in the series. The team of two will follow the guidance of the Almighty Raisin! Munch dreams of bringing back his species from the brink of going extinct. He must reclaim the last gabbit eggs in the world, which are now packaged as a can of gabbiar! He and Abe will have to work together to make it happen, though. Abe himself wants to rescue his Mudoken friends, too. Players can switch between Abe and Munch to utilize special abilities, power-ups, and psychic powers as their adventure unfolds. Together they will get revenge on Vykkers Labs!

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
