Ads support the website by covering server and domain costs. We're just a group of gamers here, like you, doing what we love to do: playing video games and bringing y'all niche goodness. So, if you like what we do and want to help us out, make an exception by turning off AdBlock for our website. In return, we promise to keep intrusive ads, such as pop-ups, off oprainfall. Thanks, everyone!

Once again oprainfall is opening their doors to new volunteers!

Please read through the positions available and find what you are best suited for. Once you have decided email CColwell@oprainfall.com and put the position you are interested in for the subject.

Tips and Tricks

Do you know a series (or multiple series) inside and out? Are you the best damn gamer in the world when playing said series? Are you interested in sharing your knowledge with the masses? This position is for you if so! You can do written or video content (one or both – we don’t care). We want those of you who know a series inside and out to come share your knowledge and help our readers out!

Writing or making videos with tips and tricks for game you have totally figured out! The amount we expect per month will vary depending on how in-depth you get. We aren’t unreasonable with it though!

Throwback Thursday

Do you have older systems and enjoy doing reviews? We are looking for people to give us a review or two a month on games you own for anything from the PS2 generation and back. Dust off that NES and get to work!

Gaming Throwback Thursday Responsibilities

One or two reviews monthly on “retro” games. Anything PS2 era and back can be included. We have an amazing Review Editor who will help you make your review as amazing as possible! Join our team and share your love of retro games!

Anime Throwback Thursday Responsibilities

A review or two a month on retro anime. Share your love of older anime with our readers, and tell them why they should or shouldn’t go back and watch the older anime.

Throwback Thursday Lists

Do you love all things gaming/anime that are “retro”? Do you love lists? This position is perfect for you if you said yes! Lists can include almost anything. Top X (5-10-15-20 or etc) character from NES games, Top X games from NES, SNES, PSONE … Top fighting games from ..whatever. You see where I am going with this?…

Are you a total grammar Nazi? Do you relish the thought of perfecting an article? If so we need you! Currently we are looking for people to help with news editing as well as reviews and opinions. We would love to have a news editor available throughout the day to help a few minutes here and there with news articles. Review and opinion editors editors can be available at various times. If you have even half an hour a few times a week to contribute we need you!

Help us edit at least a couple of things a week. You are only responsible for grammar and not content.

Video Content

We have a new YouTube Manager who is very excited to give our YouTube channel some love. He already has some great ideas for new series that you can be involved in, and we are always open to new ideas! You will have access to help editing if needed, and you don’t need extensive history in this. Anyone with basic knowledge can apply and we can help you grow.

Opinion Writers

Are you overly opinionated? Do your friends often tell you to find an outlet for all of those opinions you have? Why not come write for us. Spare your friends from being the only ones who get to hear your ideas! Share them with the world (or at least our world).

Do you love to rant and rave about a game you just played? Are you good at explaining why you loved or hated a game? Do you enjoy breaking a game down and discussing various qualities? Then we need you to come review for us! We need people to play and review PC games, mobile games, and VN’s.

PC games vary from easy to run to difficult requiring a newer/upgraded computer.

Mobile games will be limited. We will not be reviewing every mobile game coming and going. We want to try and help people find the decent mobile games out there.

We ask for 1-2 reviews a month. You can review games you own and we can provide review codes as well.

News Writers

Do you enjoy knowing the gaming and anime news before all of your friends? Would you like to write the news and share it with the world? If so this position is for you! We ask for 3 news articles a week (but you can write more if you want!) News doesn’t take long at all once you have done a few. The other day I wrote something like 5 articles in a little over an hour.

Three articles each week minimum.

Anyone who volunteers also has access to our already established series. You can jump in and write opinions, Building Character articles, anime reviews of current anime and etc. .. there are plenty of series around here to join in on!

We provide all the training that you will need to use our website, and on our policies and guidelines. We have editors who will work with you if you have a problem area, or worry that your grammar isn’t 100%.

Please remember all positions at Operation Rainfall are volunteer. There are many benefits to volunteering here. You can use us as a reference, on a resume, or other application. You can pad your resume with articles or videos. You can share your love of games and anime with our large audience and get feedback from them.

Operation Rainfall is about gamers providing news, reviews, opinions, and more to fellow gamers. Come join the fun! I look forward to getting your email!
