Medieval Dynasty

Developers of the upcoming feudal survival and life-simulation game Medieval Dynasty offer a behind-the-scenes look into how they’re creating the genre-blending game in a video series of developer interviews.

“You live in these times, you try to survive; you create a family, create a village — create your own dynasty,” says one developer in the First Looks video diary.

Players will be able to craft weapons and tools, collect building materials from the land to build their own villages, and even manage villagers to work the fields, says game designer Michal Nowak. Players will also be able to start families to pass on their legacy.

“The player can do almost everything inside the game,” adds art director Damian Szymanski. “The end game for us will be to build a huge city with inhabitants and your wife, your child. After this, you can go endless, basically.”

Nowak said the team is “very interested” in putting their game into Steam Early Access to hear from players and see “what the community wants to say” in regards to possible features and where the game can go.

From publisher Toplitz Productions:

A mysterious land ruled by nobles and the clergy, where trade between the nations has introduced not only prosperity, but envy, greed, and distrust, awaits those who embark on their journey in Medieval Dynasty. Use the ever-changing landscape to turn your small plot of land into a home, a village, and a kingdom that will stand the test of time, as you and your descendants create a dynasty to rule for generations to come!

Begin with the simple life, by farming, hunting, and foraging, as you build a home for your family. Entice others to live near and work for you, build your home, a village, and ultimately a thriving city where your dynasty will reign for generations.

A massive medieval open 3D world awaits…grab your ax, hammer, or hunting bow –– and craft your legacy!

Medieval Dynasty will be available for PC in Early Access via Steam in 2020.
