Celestial Gold Studios has released two new trailers for its upcoming psychedelic brawler Kung Fu Jesus and the Search for Celestrial Gold. One is a gameplay trailer. The other is a soundtrack trailer produced by studio member and career musician, Craig Snape. Kung Fu Jesus is a story-driven RPG beat ’em up. It features unlockables like combos, and special abilities. The game is coming to PC (Steam), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 sometime later this year. Here is the new gameplay trailer:
There are three interlocking story paths to explore in Kung Fu Jesus as you deal with your own deteriorating mental state. You see, the main character is a schizophrenic whose reality is becoming what he imagines. This includes many things, “from David Icke, the Bible and Carlos Castaneda to John Carpenter’s They Live”. What once was considered conspiracy, myth, or even legend has now been turned into reality by his deepest fears.
There are several mini games, and three different story endings to get. Players will unlock formidible special attacks and combos along the way. According to the press release, there is also a secret map somewhere that contains directions leading to a treasure in the real world. Lastly, here are some screenshots:
