The promising year for visual novel continues with a beautiful campaign in Once More! To clarify, this is a story by the international folks at Malheur Games. You may not know much about them yet, but with Once More they’re looking to be a household name. Furthermore, after playing the demo, I have no doubt of their potential. With extraordinary character design and writing as the fundamentals, the quality aims to rival the games we love from Japan. Forgive me for going insane with my praise, but there really is so much to love from the demo alone. In an effort to maximize production for the project, the team heads to Kickstarter. The team is asking for $3,500 within the next 29 days with stretch goals to enhance voice acting experience and additional help on the project. We certainly wish Malheur Games a fruitful campaign, please check them out.

What the heck is Once More?
After being accepted into the Great Library as a guest, Felix makes a deal with the reaper/librarian Shifa. The contents of the deal are that if he can show her the difference between romance in the worlds of fiction she’s lived through, and how romance plays out in reality, she’ll allow him to add a single book to the Library’s collection. In this library, instead of seeing words on a page, one see’s what the authors themselves imagined.
With numerous possibilities ahead of him, Felix accepts the deal so that he can add a single book to the library: the diary of his late girlfriend.
Will he move on and find a new partner, or will he write the ending he’s always wanted for himself?
