Aniplex USA has announced that Sword Art Online: Alicization -War of Underworld would be heading to Toonami on January 18. It is the 3rd cour in the Alicization anime which adapts the Alicization arc of the original light novels. Alicization is the longest main story arc so far, spanning a total of 10 volumes. The War of Underworld anime, so far, has covered events which take place in volumes 15-17 of the original light novel and ran for 12 episodes. The 3rd cour’s 12th episode aired on December 28, 2019. The next and final cour is set to take air in April 2020.
Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld will air every Saturday night on Toonami at midnight and feature an English dub.
