Konami Anniversary Collection | Arcade Classics

Konami has announced the Konami Anniversary Collection, a series of three upcoming collections to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary. The trilogy will consist of Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, and Contra Anniversary Collection, with Arcade Classics launching on April 18, 2019, while the other two will follow in summer. All three releases will be available digitally only, and will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. Each collection will include eight games and a bonus eBook.

Konami Anniversary Collection | Castlevania Anniversary Collection

Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics will include Haunted Castle, Typhoon (also known as A-Jax), Nemesis (also known as Gradius), Vulcan Venture (also called Gradius II), Life Force (alternatively called Salamander), Thunder Cross, Scramble, and TwinBee. The bonus eBook included with the collection will have interviews, early sketches, and other general behind-the-scenes information, some of it never officially released before.

Konami Anniversary Collection | Contra Anniversary Collection

The other two only have partial lists of the included games revealed so far, with Castlevania Anniversary Collection including the original Castlevania, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge, and Super Castlevania IV; while the Contra Anniversary Collection consists of Contra, Super Contra, Super C, and Contra III: The Alien Wars, in addition to the four unannounced games in each collection and their own bonus books.
