…OK Y’all I know I’m late here, but in another episode of ‘Boobs are Bad’ we have the latest EVO train wreck. I am of course talking about EVO Japan 2019, where Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja showcased some new gameplay of Dead or Alive 6.
Models Yuka Kuramochi and Saki Yoshida began to be playful on stage while they were waiting for the demo to be ready. They were imitating the body physics of the game, which I guess is against EVO Japans core values according to organizer Joey Cuellar. Above is a tweet, which has since been deleted, where Joey expresses his opinion.
This is what aired right before the stream was taken down. Everything is covered but there are real women with bouncy boobs and short shorts on if you click that. There was also some actual game footage that was paused in an awkward moment that looked like it could be a sexual maneuver. You can see that here. Personally I give props to any of us out there who can get our legs alllll the way back like in that image, but that is a topic for another day. You can always find weird positions or facial expressions if you pause things at the right time. Pretty sure anyone over the age of 12 knew that already, but here are a couple of examples should you want them.
Getting back on topic (or as capable as I am of being on topic) I’d like to know what the “core values” of EVO and the FGC are, and maybe I am overly bitchy today, but I have to ask are part of these values to shame two grown women for doing their job? Now if someone was forcing them in any way to do this of course that is not OK. What I see however are two women having a little fun at what should be a fun event, for a game that let’s be real here NEEDS a little fun thrown into it after all it has been through this time around.
Of course there is an apology to anyone offended during the broadcast. Where is our apology for those of us offended that the broadcast was shut down? Why do we continue to live in a society that shames women for acting silly in slightly revealing clothes, puts us in the back corner, or otherwise says NO if we are willingly showing off part of our body? Seriously. I’m done with it. This is the latest in the bullshit rape culture we are forced to live in and for those who think they are helping poor little helpless women by removing streams like this I beg of you to get a new hobby. YOU are actually part of the problem.
