Sol-Press USA has launched their Kickstater for Irotoridori no Sekai. You may know them from their recent releases of Newton and the Apple Tree and Sakura Sakura. This visual novel was developed by Favorite and was released back in 2011 in Japan. It is part of a trilogy known as the Irotoridori no Sekai World’s End Trilogy.

There are many different reward tiers to choose from. They range from $5, which will net you a sweet wallpaper pack, to $5000 which will give you a one-of-a-kind colored shikishi hand-drawn by Kazuhiro Shida, one of the artists of the series. Some of the tiers I think will be popular will be the $40 tier that gets you the game and a digital soundtrack, $60 will get you a digital soundtrack and a physical game and $125 snags you a collectors edition with a digital and physical game, soundtrack and artbook.

Some of the other tiers include things like T-shirts, key chains, wallscrolls, body pillows and more. These items can be added on as well, which makes getting the physical goods you want flexible.

Gameplay Features:
Full Game: 30-50 hours playtime
Over 5 different endings
5 heroines to choose from
First part of a trilogy of visual novels

Here are some images of the characters with a brief description.

The goal for this Kickstarter is set at $85,000, but there is a stretch goal of $215,000 that will fund the entire trilogy. They are hoping to secure this funding so release is assured of all three games. If the goal isn’t met they will attempt to gain the needed funds through alternative sources. Due to the sheer size of the project they estimate it will take 2 or 3 years to complete all the work. If you would like to fund this great looking visual novel head over to the Kickstarter page and do so!

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
