According to an article over at Nintendo Life the Switch has managed to surpass the lifetime sales figures for Sony’s PlayStation Vita in less than a year. This is no small feat when you consider the Vita launched way back in 2011, but in that time the Vita has only sold 5,955,448 units compared to the Switches over six million.
This achievement was made possible, in no small part, due to some recently released titles like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the Pokémon: Let’s Go games, both of which have been doing pretty gangbusters themselves.
Sony currently has no plans to release another handheld in the near future so, at least for the time being, it seems Nintendo will remain the undisputed king of portable gaming that isn’t on your cellphone.
