Sword Art Online: Alicization | Key Visual

The official Twitter account for the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime has announced the artists who will perform the opening and ending themes for the upcoming show. LiSA and Eir Aoi both return to contribute the opening and ending themes respectively.

The opening theme is titled “ADAMAS” and will be performed by LiSA. Eir Aoi sings the ending theme which is titled “Iris.” “Iris” is set to release on October 24, 2018 and will have three editions. The three editions are as follows:

  • Limited Edition (comes with CD, DVD and photobook in special box packaging) (¥1800)
  • Limited Press (comes with CD and anime mini poster) (¥1300)
  • Regular Edition (only comes with CD) (¥1200)

Both LiSA and Eir Aoi have previously contributed songs to the Sword Art Online franchise. The songs contributed are as follows:

  • “crossing field” (anime S1, 1st opening theme)
  • “No More Time Machine” (anime S2, 2nd ending theme)
  • “Shirushi” (anime S2, 3rd ending theme)

Sword Art Online: Alicization | Eir Aoi

Eir Aoi:

  • “Innocence” (anime S1, 2nd opening theme)
  • “Niji no Oto” (Extra Edition, ending theme)
  • “IGNITE” (anime S2, 1st opening theme)
  • “Cynthia no Hikari” (Lost Song, opening theme)
  • “Ryūsei” (Alternative: GGO, opening theme)

Sword Art Online: Alicization is set to premiere on TV in Japan in October 2018. The first episode will be an hour long special and will have world premiere screenings in seven countries prior to its premiere on TV. Both the US and Japan premiere are set to take place on September 15, 2018.
