Capitalizing on Persona hype like many would, and on its own hype, BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! has been announced for a collaboration effort. This was confirmed during the Bushiroad live stream earlier on; notably, this is BanG Dream!‘s very first collaboration. Interesting choice as some would have thought a Love Live! or idolm@ster collaboration would happen first, doubly so since the Love Live! School Idol Festival mobile game is also by Bushiroad. The collaboration event will have Persona music covers by BanG! Dream’s singers,
Sadly while we will be getting BanG Dream! characters, the characters from Persona will be absent. It’s quite a shame as seeing the protagonists of each game jamming would be entertaining to say the least, or even some of the other characters. Additionally, not all of the BanG Dream! characters will be present either, and the Persona games featured are only Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5. So far, the band Afterglow is confirmed to represent Persona 5; it’s unknown what other bands will be present. The game is set for more information in summer with a potential release.
