Pokken Tournament DX

Nintendo has released the version 1.30 update for Pokkén Tournament DX on the Nintendo Switch gaming platform. This update added compatibility for Pokkén Tournament DX Battle Pack Wave 2. The new patch launched yesterday, March 22nd, 2018, alongside Battle Pack Wave 2Battle Pack Wave 2 is the second half of the Battle Pack DLC add-on for the game. If you don’t already own the Pokkén Tournament DX Battle Pack DLC, it is available in the Nintendo Switch eShop for $14.99. As per usual, Nintendo requires that you have your game updated to the latest version in order to use its online features. The Battle Pack DLC adds the following content:

Battle Pack Wave 1 (released on January 31, 2018) contains:

  • New Battle Pokémon: Aegislash
  • New Support Set: Mega Rayquaza & Mimikyu
  • New Avatar items
  • New titles
  • New Outfits for Nia

Battle Pack Wave 2 (released on March 23, 2018) contains:

  • New Battle Pokémon: Blastoise
  • New Support Set: Mew & Celebi
  • New Avatar items
  • New titles
  • New Outfits for Nia

The Nintendo Switch will download and install the update automatically if the system is connected to the internet. Nintendo’s page on updating the game says, however, that once the game is updated you will no longer be able to play back replay data from a previous version. Pokkén Tournament DX is a fighting game published by The Pokémon Company and developed by Bandai Namco Studios. The game mixes together various elements from the Tekken series of fighting games with characters from the world of Pokémon. Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
