OVER FENCE, the developer behind the Switch title Flip Wars, has filed for bankruptcy. The studio had incurred $1.9 million (or 200 million yen) in debt across 56 investors, and had begun bankruptcy proceedings on March 16th.

Besides Flip Wars (Battle Sports Mekuru in Japan) the studio also produced Grandpa Danger and Keshikasu-kun digital manga titles for the 3DS that were exclusive to Japan. OVER FENCE was founded in 2012 with a staff of ex-Hudson Soft employees. No word on what will happen to the studio following the bankruptcy proceedings.
