At the LEVEL UP press event in Paris last weekend, Bandai Namco announced that Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is coming to Nintendo Switch, an enhanced port of the 2016 sequel that hit PS4 and Xbox One in 2016.
In addition to being content-complete, the Switch port of Championship Edition 2 adds in an exclusive co-op mode for two players. Here, two players guide their respective Pac-Man (yellow or pale blue) around mazes to gobble up Power Pellets, ghosts, and bosses. Teamwork and strategy are key here, as the levels are adjusted to fit two players for twice the chaos.
Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus launches on the North America and European Switch eShops on February 22nd, 2018. Pricing is not known but should be in line with the other versions starting at $12.99 USD. At this weekend’s event, Bandai Namco also announced a mystery Switch game code-named “My Hero” for 2018, but the enhanced Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is much more imminent.
