Episode 8: The Second Nightmare

Welcome back to more Mary Skelter Nightmares!

Time to stage another jailbreak as we finally find and rescue Thumbelina! With our primary objective accomplished, we decide it’s time to take that Nightmare out and attack the second core. However, I just might be my own worst enemy in this case.

After the fight, the group reconvenes to discuss our next move as Jack continues to worry about the intention of the senior members of the Dawn.

Additional Thoughts and Notes

Wow, this was a tough one. Granted a lot of the problems were my own fault:

1. Not setting up Thumbelina before the first attempt at the Nightmare was just dumb. Really I should have at least checked her stats and skills before the encounter just to see what we were working with. If I did I would have realized she hasn’t learned any skills yet.
2. Remember when I mentioned we didn’t have a viable fire spell? Yeah, I forgot we taught “Flame Lore” to Thumbelina. *Headdesk* Granted this kinda worked out so we weren’t constantly having to worry about the girls going in Blood Skelter mode, but still.

As usual, I hope you learn from my mistakes during your own playthrough. Despite all this though I am still having fun with the game. It’s all just part of the learning process after all. Also, yep I edited the first fight down. Figured it’d be better to show the entire second fight instead.
