Discotek | Hells

Discotek announced a lot of acquisitions during Otakon 2017, many of which were quite surprising.

One of the most surprising announcements came in the form of Hells, a 2008 film by Madhouse. The film itself isn’t what is surprising but the dub: the English dub will be performed by members of the anime abridge group, Team Four Star. And no, it is not a parody dub.

Also of note, Discotek is releasing the 1987 anthology Robot Carnival on DVD and Blu-ray. The collection brings together legends such as Katsuhiro Otomo, Koji Morimoto, Yasuomi Umetsu, and with music by Joe Hisaishi.

And that’s not all! Discotek also announced the DVD and SD-BD release of the original Cyborg 009 series.

Also, the incredibly adorable and ridiculous concept, Bananya, is getting an English dub. The narrator will be voiced by Mike Toole.

Other releases include:

Along with Lupin the 3rd: The Legend of Gold Babylon, Discotek also plans on releasing Lupin the 3rd: Part 2: Set 2 this fall.

Phew, that is a lot! Anything in particular you are excited for? Let us know!
