To catch everyone up to speed on this story, PlayStation LifeStyle had released an interview with Senran Kagura producer Kenichiro Takaki that stated he had considered toning down some of the sexual content found in the series in other regions. Marvelous Game’s European branch later released a response stating basically they would not be censoring content for any of their releases, and that the producer was speaking about toning down the series as a whole.
Kenichiro Takaki has put this issue rest with a series of two Tweets:
I’d like to make it clear that it is not my intention to tone down the content in Senran Kagura overseas.

If age rating boards require changes to allow a release, we will have to comply. But otherwise, I want everyone to enjoy the same content! pic.twitter.com/YapnkggT2c

My take on this is if the producer is considering toning down the series this is a creative decision and not one based around censoring the game for certain regions.
