Electronic Arts has officially announced the development of A Way Out, a split screen co-op action game developed by Hazelight Studios. Some of the members of the studio originally developed Brothers: a Tale of Two Sons and left to create Hazelight Studios. Two inmates cooperate during a prison break out, and are going to experience an explosive adventure. It seems that the game can only be played online or with a friend at home, and there is no single player mode where a character would be controlled by AI. The game is part of the EA Originals program, created to fund the development of indie games. According to Joseph Fares, the creator, “To get the full experience and feel we want, you and your friend to play it on your couch.” The release should happen during early 2018 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
