If you’re already a fan of Thunder Lotus Games, you probably already know a lot about their wildly successful crowdfunding venture with Sundered. This Cthulhu inspired metroidvania looks utterly fantastic, and from our own Ashley’s impressions, it plays as well as it looks, even at this early stage of development. Which is why the latest Resist trailer looks even more impressive to me!

While the earlier trailers focused on the more organic, cavern like areas of the game, Resist seems to take place in a modern facility of some sort, full of utilitarian corridors and haunting shadows. It also represents the first area of the game, which is more sci-fi than the later areas. Which isn’t to say this trailer is bereft of the unique Sundered vibe, just that it focuses on another aspect of the game.

All I can say is Resist has me even more excited about finally getting my hands on my own backed copy of Sundered. Take a look for yourself and see what all the fuss is about below!

About Josh Speer

Josh is a passionate gamer, finding time to clock in around 30-40 hours of gaming a week. He discovered Operation Rainfall while avidly following the localization of the Big 3 Wii RPGs. He enjoys SHMUPS, Platformers, RPGs, Roguelikes and the occasional Fighter. He’s also an unashamedly giant Mega Man fan, having played the series since he was eight. As Head Editor and Review Manager, he spends far too much time editing reviews and random articles. In his limited spare time he devours indies whole and anticipates the release of quirky, unpredictable and innovative games.
