About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.

Wonder what happened to XSEED but also really glad NISA is bringing it over with dual audio.

    • Zeroroute(進路 の 零度)

Either XSEED is swamped with projects and/or NISA won a bid war. Latter is definitely likely.

  • Vanadise

Well, this is… not quite the Ys news I was expecting.

To be honest, I haven’t bought an NIS game since Ar Tonelico 2 because that game was such a disaster. Have they gotten any better?

    • Panpopo

I think the only recent major technical issue was with Witch and Hundred knights for ps3, but was fixed with the ps4 version. Unfortunately if there is a problem with a game they tend to go unfixed. However recently they have been good imo – I particularly enjoyed grand kingdom, the latest disgaeas and dangonronpa.

    • Vanadise

Decided to look up NISA’s track record with their recent games… now I’m really not looking forward to random meme references and the probably censoring of Dana’s outfit. 😐

This might be the first Ys release that I don’t pre-order.

    • mew

Why would they censor Dana’s outfit? They’ve released games with outfits lewder than that without censoring them.

  • Panpopo

Really surprised that xseed is not doing this one. Glad it is coming over though.

As much as I love my vita I think I’ll get the ps4 version as I believe it has slightly more content, and should run better.

  • MusouTensei

Terrible news, who knows what those NISA puritans do to this game. Also fuck Falcom for fucking over Xseed like that, they make great games for sure but else they suck.

  • Yuuku

My only problem thus far is its not Y’s its Ys >.< this may be just a typo on the persons part i hope….

  • Paychi

The good people at XSEED are upset over the loss. It sounds like NISA pried it from their fingers in a manner that was disrespectful and unprofessional.

  • Alistair

Way to go failcom, do you want to kill adol along with the game series.

By the hands of kings of censorship NISA.
