Xbox One exclusive Scalebound has been canceled after 4 years of development. It seems that difficulties rose during the development and that the relationship between Microsoft and Platinum Games has deteriorated. Deadlines were not reached and various problems appeared. The future of the game is obscure and we do not know if Platinum will continue to work on the project. The game was planned for Xbox One but would also have been accessible for PC gamers through the Xbox Play Anywhere program. This title  featured the adventures of Drew and Thuban, the last dragon of its kind.

Here is the full official statement from Microsoft:”After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for Scalebound. We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves and other great experiences.”
