So what do all of you think of it?

Ghost In The Shell will be released on March 31.

About Walter P

Plays too much, but still has too many games to finish. Will play any type of game and will watch anything, so is of course not good at being productive. Loves anything crazy.

  • Didney Worl

Looking good. I do hope that they go for an R rating though.

  • Mr0303

I don’t know anything about Ghost in the Shell, so I can’t properly judge it, but I guess the normies will go in droves to see Johansson in that skin tight outfit.

  • Panpopo

Looks fine to me, but needs more Beat Takeshi! It will be interesting to see if the general populace will be interested in seeing this movie. This just reminds me when Aeon Flux came out and no one saw it.

  • Paychi

It looks like a good sci-fi movie, but not Ghost in the Shell. Far too cyberpunk and thriller horror.

    • Miguel Angel Opazo Arancibia

To be fair, every Ghost in the Shell entry on the franchise has been a very loose adaptation of the manga, so while i agree that GITS it’s more post-cyberpunk than cyberpunk proper, having a new interpretation of the mythos doesn’t hurt and doesn’t broke the norm till now.

It seems like they took elements from both animated movies. It wouldn’t hurt to have some themes from the anime series too, then again those are more of the police drama type starring Togusa rather than the Major.

PS: The one thing that irks me, it’s that “the first of your kind” bit.
She was the first complete cyborg in the world after loosing his parents in an accident though, but i fear that they might mean something less agreable to make it sound more “cool”.

  • catazxy

It has what I expected, I’ll watch it…

  • Razorfall

The setting has that nice cyberpunk feel too it, but the main characters look *beat* inorganic. And not just because they’re cyborgs.

    Or Caucasian.
