It’s been a while since I wrote anything on Pokémon. I was beginning to wonder if Game Freak had ran out of interesting news for us. Well as it would turn out that isn’t the case! That’s right, a new trailer was posted today on the Pokémon Channel.

Like every other trailer this one starts off with some new Pokémon. First up is …Type: Null? Contrary to it’s name, it’s a normal type with Battle Armor. Next up is Jangmo-o, who I think I’ll be nicknaming Django. Django here has Bulletproof and Soundproof, is dragon type, and looks inspired by an ankylosaurus. And finally we have Raticate’s Alola form. We already saw Rattata’s new form so this isn’t surprising. Of course it’s dark/normal type and has Gluttony and Hustle.

Finally some new gameplay features. First off, it seems Sun and Moon will be set twelve hours apart, which if this means that they aren’t going to have a proper day/night cycle I must say I’m a little disappointed. We’re also introduced to the Aether Foundation, which seems to be a good counterpart of Team Skull. Oh, hey! Remember Pokémon Snap? Well it seems like they finally do too! It looks like your Rotom Pokédex can also act as a camera and take pictures of Pokémon in their natural habitat.

And one final bit of interesting news. There’s seems to be a new “mysterious threat” in the world of Pokémon. Ultra Beasts! We know almost nothing about these yet, but I imagine they’re new Pokémon of some description. The trailer only shows us one, in the form of UB-01. I’m sure we’ll learn more on a later date.

As always, you can checkout the trailer for yourself below. Pokémon Sun and Moon comes out on November 18th for Nintendo 3DS.
