A new Pikmin game has been revealed, though differs a bit from previous titles. This time, it will be more action-based and focus on 2D side-scrolling. Familiar elements such as using the Pikmin and controlling the main hero, Olimar, are still present. There are also puzzles such as guiding the Pikmin via the touch-screen to grab materials to make a bridge. Each Pikmin does have various uses in combat, such as red resisting and putting out fires, blue Pikmin for underwater sections, and yellow Pikmin for a higher toss and resisting electricity.
Thus far, there is not a set title or date for this new Pikmin game, aside from being released in 2017. You can find more gameplay about this new Pikmin game in the video below at 57:38.
