Even though it’s been more than 50 years since the first film, Godzilla hasn’t been slowed by age. Shin Godzilla is currently the highest grossing live-action film in Japan at the time for the year. The newest film in the Toho produced series has now made 5.3 billion yen since its release at the end of July. This tops Nobunaga Concerto which was the previous holder at around 4.61 billion yen.
