If you  enjoyed Pokemon Snap on the Nintendo 64, good news! NOE has announced that Pokemon Snap will be coming to the Wii U Virtual Console on Thursday in Europe.

For those who don’t know, Pokemon Snap is a classic on-rails Pokemon photography simulator had you taking glorious photographs of wild Pokemon in their natural environments for appraisal from Professor Oak.  Here’s hoping that Nintendo of America shows North America some love and brings it here too.

If Nintendo was more ambitious, they would remake this for the 3DS and incorporate the built in camera. That would be super cool! Alas, they are probably too busy with whatever the NX is…

The Wii U gamepad was virtually made for a Pokemon Snap 2. The game sold really well and had great reviews in the East and West. It’s a classic spin off of one of the most successful franchises to exist. The only reason it didn’t happen is because they’re out of touch now.

This game (or a sequel) should have been on the Wii U day one. The gamepad would be perfect for it.
