Arcade Archives Soldier Girl Amazon – PS4 Digital

The 1980’s was a glorious time, a gloriously strange time. Relive it with this new Arcade Archives release. It’s a top down shooter where you play a giant Amazon warrior. Yeah, gloriously strange.

Brut@l – PS4 Digital

There is roguelike and roguelight, and I’ve started to make the distinction. But even with roguelikes, it is hard to imagine a game more like Rogue than this one is. It even imports the ASCII graphic style, albeit in a 3D world this time.

Caladrius Blaze – PS4 Digital

Another top down space shooter featured? You would think that I enjoyed these games, and you would be quite accurate if you did. This one was originally released on the PlayStation 3 and features a decidedly anime aesthetic and story.

Indigo Prophecy (PS2) – PS4 Digital

Originally known as Fahrenheit in Europe, and after suffering some rather controversial changes, this game became a classic on the PlayStation 2. We don’t get to Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit without this beloved gem.

No Man’s Sky – PS4 Digital, Retail

This release has been long awaited, a pretty remarkable feat in itself for a small 13 man team. But then you consider the size and scale of this game and it becomes even more mind bending. Thanks to procedural generation a single player would not be able to explore all the possible worlds before the predicted end of the known universe. But we are all excited to see how much game there is within such scope.
