astragon are going to have an exciting show of games at Gamescom 2016 with several new sim titles. The one I’d like to focus on today is the Firefighter Simulation that is set to release sometime in 2017 for PC. You can read more about them all in the first press email below.
In an additional press release (also below) astragon announces Rosenbauer as first official partner for Firefighting Simulator. Now this is important because Rosenbauer is the is one of the world’s three largest manufacturers of fire-service vehicles. So they know what they are doing! In an interview with Scott Oyen of Rosenbauer America (which you can read in whole at the bottom of this article in the 2nd press release) they talk about the importance of realism.
What are the most important aspects of a firefighting simulation game in your opinion?
Scott: Being as close to real-life experience as possible. Astragon was very detailed about making sure all the buttons and switches did in the game exactly what they do in real-life.
I personally cannot wait to see how they integrate everything, and am hoping the realism continues into the daily actions as well as the vehicles.

Scott: Rosenbauer is ecstatic about the new simulation software featuring the TP3 pumper and we’ll likely be engaged playing the game ourselves.
