Adrift – PS4 Digital (Out 7/15)

This indie title has been kicking around for a few years, especially at the press shows. The deeply personal journey of one man’s struggle in life is told in a metaphorical way with his space survival story.

Arcade Archives Gradius II – PS4 Digital (Out 7/15)

Most of you are unlikely to need me to explain this game to them. But for those not in the know, this is considered by many to be the greatest space shooter of all time. So whether you want to relive the old arcade days, or experience it for the first time, this would be a good game to try.

Assault Suit Leynos – PS4 Digital

This is the HD remake of an old Mega Drive classic game. But, having never played the original, it amazing to me how fun this one looks. I foresee this purchase in my near future. Just check out that trailer and get hyped.

Daydreamer: Awakened Edition – PS4 Digital

This wild homage to the days of the 16-bit sidescroller is finally out on PlayStation 4. It looks more weird every time I see it, but that isn’t a bad thing at all. If you are going to go strange, go all the way.

Dex – PS4 Digital

This is a cyberpunk side scrolling RPG. That is a pretty great statement on it’s own. But the trailer was interesting enough that I plan to review this one for the site. So look forward to that in the near future, or enjoy playing it with me as well and come to your own conclusions.

MilitAnt – PS4 Digital

Another great looking indie sidescroller. Stop me if you’ve heard that one before. Regardless this one looks really good and also features a fascinating insect war premise.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS-Force – PS Vita Digital

It’s still a bit shocking to me that we are actually getting this game here in the west. The history of localizing these titles has always been a lot more miss than hit. But it looks to be a really great entry in the fantastic franchise, and is also a very prominent new PS Vita game.

Song of the Deep – PS4 Digital

This metroidvania game is very likely the highlight of the week for many people, myself included. Not only is it fascinating to set an entire game of that genre underwater (although many of them do feature strong underwater sequences), but this one is also created by a beloved developer in Insomniac Games.

Super Mutant Alien Assault – PS4 Digital

This arcade platformer is brutally difficult and brutally random. So if a challenge, with a cool aesthetic, is what you are looking for. Look no farther than this indie game.

Type:Rider – PS4, PS Vita Digital (Cross-Buy)

I wanted to feature this just so I could tell you that there is a game about two dots exploring the history of fonts and characters… yes, typing and writing style. But if you check out the trailer, it seems that there is a lot to recommend in the game itself.
