With the debut of Callie and Marie, Nintendo has officially releasedd 100 amiibo figures in the US. These include the insanely popular Super Smash Bros. line, as well as various other figures based on Kirby, Yoshi’s Wholly World, Animal Crossing and Splatoon. The line will only continue to grow in the coming months with the introduction of amiibo based on Super Mario Bros., Monster Hunter Stories and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

There’s been some controversy surrounding the figures as several were incredibly hard to find early on, with store exclusives making things even more frustrating. The stock issues have slowly but surely been resolved with figures pretty plentiful and easy to find these days. How do you feel about amiibo 100 figures later, and how many have you bought, if any? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I got mine today and the Splatoon Amiibo pack(alternate colors)

Haha, hard to find early on?

I have a few – you are simply not going to find a Shulk or Little Mac figure anywhere other than in amiibo form. I never used them for their intended purposes other than as figures. I really like most of the smash amiibo, but my favorite is probably Ness.

Yeah the early waves of amiibo were crazy. The problem at the beginning was that after each wave of figures, production remained the same but the demand kept increasing. So more and more people wanted these things, so it made it hard to procure some of the less produced ones. Hope to never go through something like that again.

I never use them, either. I just really like the way they look on my shelf. The Yarn Yoshis in particular.
