Shaft held a MadoGatari exhibit in multiple cities in Japan; the exhibit celebrated the 40th anniversary of animation studio Shaft. The exhibit has toured in Tokyo, Osaka and Sapporo. It had gathered 40,000 visitors and the exhibit also added a couple of dates for the city of Nagoya.
During the MadoGatari event in Nagoya, 8,478 attendees voted for Shaft’s Best Girl. After announcing an encore Tokyo event for September, Shaft finally crowned the MadoGatari Queen. The actual results of the vote were released in May 2016.

- 6. Monogatari Series‘s Mayoi Hachikuji
- 5. Puella Magi Madoka Magica‘s Madoka Kaname
- 4. Puella Magi Madoka Magica‘s Kyoko Sakura
The top two runner ups of the vote are as follows:
Hitagi Senjougahara from the Monogatari Series placed at Number 3 with 774 votes.

And the number one girl and undisputed MadoGatari Queen is…
Shinobu Oshino, who easily takes the crown of Queen MadoGatari with an outstanding 1,867 votes. Clearly there wasn’t any contest here as Shinobu easily took the crown from the other Shaft Girls with a 705 vote lead on the next runner up.
