Monster Hunter Generations

Monster Hunter Generations

Capcom has just released a new teaser trailer for the latest free DLC item for Monster Hunter Generations. This costume allows you to dress up your Palico as Toon Link from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The costume is complete with Toon Link’s Boomerang, Mirror Shield, Master Sword, and the Wind Waker itself. And as you can see, it also has cat ears, a tail, and some whiskers. Are you ready to take on the formidable monsters of Monster Hunter as Toon Link?

The short trailer shows the costume in action. Several scenes show off some of his combat abilities, while others show him doing other non-combat activities. The trailer does not give any details on how to obtain the DLC. Regardless, these free DLC items will be released at some point after Monster Hunter Generations launches. Here’s the teaser trailer for the Toon Link costume, so take a moment to check it out:

Monster Hunter Generations is receiving other free DLCs like this, as well. They include Okami, Fire Emblem, Strider, and Ghosts ‘n Goblins. These costumes are definitely quite cool, but almost certainly don’t exist merely for the sake of being cool. More than anything, the developers want to draw more players into the world of Monster Hunter. That’s not the easiest thing to do with a niche game like this that’s designed for a more hardcore audience. However, the game has the advantage that it comes from a large, well-known company (Capcom).

With the game’s launch on July 15th in both North America and Europe, fans don’t have much longer to wait. If you still can’t wait that long, there is a free demo available on the eShop already. And if you haven’t seen it already, you can check out the recent Monster Hunter Generations trailer from E3 2016:

On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
