Visualnoveler has announced Anime Studio Simulator, a hybrid visual novel and simulation featuring a group of friends trying to develop their own anime. Writer and creator wraithseeker has put the game on Steam Greenlight, as well as starting a Kickstarter campaign.

The trailer from the Greenlight and Kickstarter pages can be seen below:

The story follows recent high school graduate Yukari, as she tries to rally a group of her friends from high school to create a new anime series, after receiving some investment capital. It’s up to the player to manage the project, making the right choices to try and steer the group towards creating a long-lived, beloved new anime series.

A demo for the game is available as well.

The Kickstarter project is asking for a total of $3,400 AUD. The Steam Greenlight page estimates a release in September or October 2016.
