There was a lot of new information released for the highly anticipated Persona 5. Atlus has released an E3 2016 trailer that should look very familiar to people. The only difference between the new one and the Japanese trailer is the English subtitles and a new English release date. For those that haven’t seen the news previously, this game is heading West on the next Valentines Day 2017. One sour bit of news for many of us is that it does not come with dual audio, it will only have the English audio. But you can be certain that we will be pushing for the original Japanese as DLC.

New Character
In addition, the Persona Team has revealed the 9th character for the game named Goro Akechi. The only major information we have about him is that he is a detective. This would stand to reason as how similar his name is to Japan’s version of Sherlock Holmes. But it is truly fascinating to imagine how a detective will fall in with a group of teenage thieves. In addition, some eagle eyed viewers have been able to tie in the previous characters with dungeons, and the casino dungeon has been notably absent. But with the above picture it seems like we may have found the character that is tied to the casino.
Cooperation Characters
They also revealed that you will be establishing relationships with side characters that are called Cooperation Characters, and they will be able to offer you assistance that is relative to the strength of your relationship with them. Here is a group of trailers for these new relationships.
Munehisa Iwai
Tae Takemi (Helloooooo Nurse!)
Sojiro Sakura
You can be certain that any and all Persona 5 news will be covered here at Operation Rainfall. The excitement here is palatable.
