Fans itching for footage of the Voltron series needn’t wait any longer. Dreamworks has uploaded multiple clips to their Youtube TV channel.

The original Voltron was a combination of two other Toei anime, Beasts Golion and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV. The new series, Voltron: Legendary Defender, is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix June 10th. Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra should be pleased to hear Joaquim Dos Santos, Lauren Montgomery, and Tim Hedrick are executive producing and writing the show along with Studio Mir providing the animation.

The voice cast for the new series are as follows:

  • Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) as Keith
  • Jeremy Shada (Adventure Time) as Lance
  • Bex Taylor-Klaus (Arrow) as Pidge
  • Josh Keaton (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) as Shiro (formerly “Sven”)
  • Tyler Labine (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil) as Hunk
  • Kimberly Brooks (Mass Effect) as Princess Allura
  • Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords) as Coran
  • Neil Kaplan (Transformers: Robots in Disguise) as King Zarkon

Phew that second vid. Why are they putting so much effort into something like Voltron?!

  • Mr0303

The Last Airbender is one of my all time favourite shows, but then again The Legend of Korra was absolute crap. I may give it a try, but I’ll keep my expectations very low.

    • Tiredman

I agree. Korra is really hard to get into. The first series I actually went out and bought because I enjoyed it so much. Korra….I forget it exists, though I try to watch a few episodes once in a while to see if I can get into it, but i just plain dislike all the non stop drama.

    • Mr0303

Just pretend that it doesn’t exist. I only lasted until the end of the second season and the cringe and stupidity is real.

  • Tiredman

Looks good. Around Christmas I may get netflix for a month and binge watch them.
