It appears that Aksys Games will be localizing the latest chapter in the BlazBlue series, BlazBlue: Central Fiction. The information was leaked via an Amazon product listing.  While it only has a place holder date of December, 2016 it does seem like both the PS3 and PS4 versions are coming West. Here are some of the key features from the product listing:

  • A 40+ hour story mode with fully animated cut scenes pushes the boundaries of fighting game narratives
  • Epic Aesthetic
  • Insanely detailed 2D hand drawn sprites coupled with astonishing 3D rendered backgrounds create a world unlike anything you’ve seen before
  • A packed roster of over 30+ characters new and old battle across 60+ different stages

Previously we learned that this will be the final game in Ragna’s story arc and that ES from the XBlaze series will be a playable character. Aksys Games has announced they will have major announcements at their Momocon Panel today, and I’m sure this is one of them.

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
