Alienation – PS4 Digital
Housemarque’s new title is like a cross between their previous title, Deadnation, and Diablo 2 with dynamic difficulty changes based on 1-4 players. Why aren’t you already playing this? This developer is very bad at putting out poor games, they create amazing in their sleep.
Jetpack Joyride – PS4 Digital
An interesting and fun looking little sidescroller from the makers of Fruit Ninja. If you are going to have a jetpack, have one with dual Gatling guns mounted on it. Certainly Kick-Ass agrees with that sentiment.
The Magic Circle: Gold Edition – PS4 Digital
This one looks like a bit of an inventive experience. It is like you are in The Elder Scrolls world as a character, but the antagonist is the game developers and you are trying to screw with your own world to get back at them. That is pretty much the definition of meta, people.
Nioh (Demo) – PS4 Digital
The availability of this demo is pretty big news, so I’m including it here. It looks like Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden had a baby, and named it Onimusha. If that sounds like your idea of a good time (spoiler alert, it’s definitely my idea of a good thing), give this one a try.
Severed – PS Vita Digital
I liked this game a lot, as you can tell from my Review. Drinkbox Studios is developing quite the prolific, and esoteric, stable of games.
Stranger of Sword City – PS Vita Digital, Retail
NIS’s next title is a classic dungeon crawler rpg with a beautiful art aesthetic. You can expect a review for this one pretty soon here at Operation Rainfall. It looks to be quite an interesting title if you are into these types of games, which I most emphatically am.
