The Asterisk War S2 promo image

Aniplex has released the official promotional video for the upcoming second season of The Asterisk War anime series through the series’ official website. The YouTube video on the site is currently region-locked to Japan, but the same video can also be found on Dailymotion.

The website was also updated with the official art for the second season as well as the airdate. The season will premiere on April 2, at 10:30 p.m. JST. The series will air on Animax, as well as Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, BS11, ABC Asahi Broadcasting, and CBC TV.

The new opening featured in the trailer is called “The Asterisk War”, and is performed by Shiena Nishzawa. The ending theme will be called “Ai no Uta –words of love-”, performed by Haruka Chisuga.
