The newest Weekly Famitsu has a series of screenshots from the upcoming rhythm game Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X, showing off some of the game’s features, and some more songs and modules set to appear in the game. The details can also be found, albeit untranslated, on the series’ official site.
The main thing covered by the article is the communication system, which gets players up close and personal with Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka and the others, similar to in previous Project DIVA games.
The details from the article and website can be found below:
- Character Communication
From the Live Quest Mode Home screen, you can enjoy communication with Hatsune Miku and other characters.
You can decorate your Home with various themes.
As you progress through the game, various events will be unlocked in your Home. If you meet certain requirements, Event Quests will also be unlocked. There are also character-specific Event Quests that are being prepared.
The communication element of the game is tied to the rhythm game element. In other words, as you play through Live Quest Mode, you’ll naturally shorten the gap between you and the characters.
As you raise your “friendship level” with the characters, you’ll gain small advantages in carrying out quests and new quests will unlock.
You can raise your friendship level by giving items to the characters as gifts. You can obtain items to gift by playing the rhythm game. Giftable items indicated with the present mark.
Reactions from characters can range from not good at all…
…to very delighted.
There are also event scenes that occur based on the item you gift.
By meeting certain requirements, you can trigger a special present event where you’ll get hints in the dialogue which you can use to find the perfect present. If you can provide a gift that suits the situation, your friendship level will greatly increase.
The presents you gift can be used to decorate your Home.
Depending on the element of the module the character is wearing, her tone and gestures will change. For example, a “Cool” modules will give her a cooler behavior.
[Likewise, “Cute” modules give her cute behavior.]
By touching the screen, you can also “poke” the character. This reaction is also different based on the module’s element.
