The NX rumor mill continues to churn out more speculation as to the nature of Nintendo’s mysterious game platform. This latest tip comes from analyst and consultant Dr. Sherman Toto, who revealed through a series of tweets the soon to be revealed game system will have support from day one on Nintendo’s current third-party supporters, Bandai Namco. The Japanese gaming giant is allegedly working on several NX games, including Super Smash Bros., which will apparently be launching alongside the NX.
While this is a complete rumor with unknown sources, NX support from Bandai Namco would not unprecedented. The company launched Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on Wii U, and the relationship fostered on that project led the two Japanese gaming giants to work on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, not to mention the upcoming Pokken Tournament. Super Smash Bros. on NX, whether completely new or a port of the previous game, doesn’t seem like much of a stretch. With the NX expected to be revealed sometime this year, expect more rumors and speculation to follow.
