Great news for fans of Atlus and Vanillaware, which we all are (of course.) The official website for Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, the enhanced edition of the classic PS2 side scrolling fantasy brawler, is live and you can go and sample it for yourself right here and right now! Even better, we now have a launch date for the game in North America (but not Europe, sadly) and that is June 7, 2016. Five more months until we can experience this great game in Canada and the States! Right now, the site has a section on the game’s world and characters as well as a ‘Purchase’ tab and some details on the day one and ‘Storybook’ collector’s editions.

For a limited time, if you preorder Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir for the Sony Playstation 4, Plastation 3 or PS Vita at a participating vendor, you will get a 64 page softcover artbook with what is certain to be filled with lush, colorful and stunning concept art from Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir and is a must own for any fan of Vanillaware games. While the following image isn’t necessarily a final version of the artbook, it gives a good idea of the quality we’ve come to expect from Atlus premiums.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Artbook

If you decide to go whole hog and get the Storybook edition (which I’ve already preordered), you get a bunch of goodies:

  • 64 page HARDCOVER Artbook
  • Potion Recipe T-Shirt (large)
  • Collectible Metal Case
  • Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir game
  • Mystery art print
  • Premium Outer Box

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Storybook Edition

The standard edition of the game will run you roughly $60 before tax, while the Storybook edition is $80 before tax. For the extra 20 bucks, you’re getting a wonderful value with all the bonus swag. But whichever way you decide to go, at the end of the day it’s looking like Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is going to be another big hit from Atlus and Vanillaware.

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir will be available for the Sony Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PS Vita on June 7 2016 in North America, developed by Vanillaware (Dragon’s Crown, Princess Crown, Grimgrimoire) and published by Atlus (Persona series, Etrian Odyssey series). There is no word yet on a European launch date but as soon as we have any details, we’ll be sure to let you know.
