One of the most exciting new reveals from the latest Nintendo Direct was the introduction of Linkle, the newest playable character in Hyrule Warriors Legends. The upcoming 3DS game is set to release in early 2016, and the latest Famitsu has some new details to share. Linkle will be getting her own side story in the game’s campaign, and will interact with characters like True Form Midna and fellow newcomer Skull Kid. Players who get the 3DS version of the game will also be able to get all the new characters on the Wii U version.

Existing characters will also be getting new weapons. It was revealed that Ganon will be getting a trident weapon that can launch lightning fast attacks. Stages will also be set at different times of the day. Lake Hylia gets a sunset setting while Valley of Seers gets a daytime setting. Scans of the Famitsu article can be found below.

Hyrule Warriors Legends will release on January 21 in Japan, and March 25 in North America and Europe.
