I know, the title probably doesn’t fill you with confidence, but I simply don’t know what else to call my random pictures taken as I wandered around PAX Prime. Please note I prefer candid shots, so some of these will be blurrier than I would like. Nevertheless, I feel candids are the way to go in order to get cool photographs, especially at a big convention like this.
The following pictures range from cosplay to game booths to anything shiny that caught my eye. I hope they entertain folks, and are not seen as anything too serious. I took the vast majority of these the first day of PAX Prime, but you can expect pictures from every single day, to varying degrees. Though I personally found the cosplay to be fascinating, especially the prevalence of what I call Crosplay, the booths were also marvelous, as were some of the props meant to draw us gamers closer. Without further ado, here are my PAX Prime random pictures!
Behemoth constantly have amazing booths.
I especially liked the statues from various Behemoth games. I want that cupcake!
I admit, this was more fun than I thought it would be.
All the expensive Mega Man merch!
The place the Minecraft Story Mode booth occupied is always reserved for the biggest games.
Square Enix was a bit reserved this year.
Though I did enjoy Grandia II!
Seattle business Pink Gorilla was also at the show.
God I wish I had been able to sit down and listen to the Xenoblade X spiel…
I want this banner for my home.
Doom had a nice (by which I mean terrifying) robot statue.
I may not be a MtG fan, but this was incredible. Inside and outside the convention.
Here it is crushing a fake cop car. Marvelous!
It was huge, whatever this MtG critter was.
What nice ribs you have!
First cosplay of the show! Rosalina and Shiek, an unlikely pairing.
The fountain was placed directly under the body, so it was spraying a gout of black blood. Fantastic, Dark Souls!
Love the art style of this game.
A fantastic Akuma cosplay!
This is what happiness looks like. Picked up a sweet pin set and shirt!
IT EXISTS!!! They wouldn’t let me buy it, though 🙁
Unlike the other 2nd floor Nintendo demos, Chibi-Robo didn’t get a huge line. More for me.
Nintendo likes mocking us with things like this…
Wish I could have played this game…
The StarFox line was HUGE!
Honestly, just liked the name of this, no idea how it plays.
For all the discerning drunk gamers out there.
Can’t believe this is getting remade.
A surprisingly cute Monokuma cosplay!
Let us never forget you, Iwata san.
Tingle lives!
Really enjoyed Mekazoo.
There were a LOT of Ness cosplayers at Prime. PK Thunder!
Tried to take a sneaky pic of Lady Deadpool, and this is the result. At least she didn’t hurt me…
Rivals of Aether was a pretty fun Smash style game.
This was for Battleborn, I guess. No idea, just looked cool.
For some reason, the cute booth girl who took my pic did so sideways. Oh well. Proof I’m not a figment of your imaginations!
Callie and Marie! Not 100% sure they were women…
Love the art style for this game.
No idea who this cosplay is, and don’t really care, since they walked away before I could take a pic.
Great Slade cosplay!
I caught a Scizor!
Though I could care less about Dr. Who, figured our audience would like this.
Also didn’t play this one, but it looked fun.
This robot talked, moved and was condescending. Brilliant!
Is there any better way to end a photo gallery than with Harley Quinns? I think not.
