It was announced earlier this year that Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru (A Corpse is Buried Under Sakurako’s Feet) would be receiving a TV anime adaptation. The official site for the anime adaptation has now released the first PV for the adaptation introducing the main cast for the show. The PV can be seen below.

- Masako Isobe as Housekeeper / Ume Sawa

- Tetsuya Kakihara as Haruto Imai

The anime adaptation will be directed by Makoto Kato. Prior to this Kato was an episode director for Aldnoah.Zero, Btooom!, and Servant x Service. Working as assistant director will be Makoto Bessho. Bessho’s previously worked as an episode director for Attack on Titan and Death Note. The series composition will be handled by Takayo Ikami. Ikami’s previous works include Yuri Kuma Arashi and Penguindrum. Working as both character designer and chief animation director will be Michio Sato. Sato’s previous works include Viper’s Creed and Tenchi Muyo GXP. TROYCA will be animating the adaptation. TROYCA is best known for their co-production with A-1 Pictures, Aldnoah.Zero. True will be performing the opening song while TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND will be performing the ending song. True previously worked on Sound! Euphonium and TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND previously worked on Witch Craft Works and Trinity Seven. TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND will also be composing the music for the adaptation.
Sakurako-san is a light novel mystery series authored by Shiori Ota and illustrated by Tetsuo. The light novel is published by Kadokawa Shoten under their Kadokawa Bunko imprint. The series began publication in 2013 and currently has seven volumes released. The eighth volume is set to release on September 25.

Shōtarō Tatewaki is a normal high school student with a serious demeanor who likes to show off his girlfriend Sakurako Kujyō. Sakurako is an extraordinarily beautiful woman in her mid-20s from a rich family who loves “beautiful bones.” The two live in the city of Asahikawa in Hokkaido, and they get involved in various incidents regarding bones.
