It’s not like we didn’t know it was coming, but tonight’s Bethesda E3 conference made it official. Dishonored 2 is coming! No release date has been set for the sequel, so don’t expect it until next year. Bethesda also announced a remastered version of the original Dishonored for Xbox One and PS4 to be released in August.
Unfortunately there was no actual gameplay to speak of, but the trailer we got sure is pretty. It’s narrated by the voice of The Outsider from the first game (the entity who gives Corvo his special abilities), and the player character shown is Emily Kaldwin. If you’ve played the first game, you know who that is. The girl, the heir to the throne in the first game. The girl who you watch get kidnapped right before you get framed for her mother’s murder. Spoilers, by the way. Not too much to say after that, other than the trailer is gorgeous, but pre-rendered so it tells us nothing of the actual graphics of the game. There has been what looks like a change made to the blink ability from the first game, as well. Hopefully we’ll get more details, as well as gameplay footage, soon.
